When you buy a subscription
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which sells the subscription to you as merchant of record. They collect your name, email address, payment details, and the country and tax information needed for the sale. We never see your card details. We can see your name, email address, country, order and whether your subscription is active, so that we can give you support and manage licence keys.
When you use the program
- When you activate the program and each time it starts, it sends your licence key and your computer's name to Lemon Squeezy to check your subscription. As with any internet request, Lemon Squeezy can see your IP address.
- The program saves your licence key, the time your free trial started, and the fact and time that you accepted the terms, on your computer. Nothing about the free trial is sent anywhere.
- The program reads screen colours near your pointer in order to work. This happens on your computer only. Nothing from your screen is recorded or sent anywhere.
When you visit this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider, , keeps standard server logs such as IP address and browser type to run the service and keep it secure. If you open the checkout, Lemon Squeezy may set cookies that it needs to process your order. If you arrive through an affiliate's link, Lemon Squeezy's affiliate script records the referral so that the affiliate can be paid, and it may store a small identifier in your browser to do that.
When you email us
We keep your message and email address for as long as needed to answer you and to follow up on your case.
Why we use this data
- To deliver the subscription you bought and give you support (performing our contract with you).
- To stop licence keys being shared and to enforce the fair use rules (our legitimate interest in preventing misuse).
- To keep the records that accounting and tax law require (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Only Lemon Squeezy and our hosting provider, as described above. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Lemon Squeezy is based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the EEA under their safeguards.
How long we keep it
Order and subscription records are kept for as long as accounting law requires. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed. You can delete the licence file on your computer at any time by removing the DpiSlowdown folder in your AppData folder.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop or limit how we use it. Email us to do so. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Norway that is Datatilsynet.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
